I taught my first cooking class this weekend! It was wonderful and I loved every second of it. The food was delicious, the students were receptive, and I wasn't nearly as nervous as I thought I would be. All in all it was a great relief to find out that yes, I actually can teach a cooking class if I so desire! (And, obviously, I desire.) 🙂
We made a classic week of Blackboard Kitchen meals: Chicken Caesar Salad, Chicken Cashew Stir-fry, Vegetable Calzones, and Linguine with Creamy Tomato Sauce. They all turned out so deliciously; the students did a fabulous job.
Before class started, we measured everything out and set everything up for each recipe. I also made the brown rice and pizza dough.
Students arrived and we got right down to business. We started with the pasta sauce, then made calzones, then the caesar salad, and finally the stir-fry.
If you missed the cooking class this time, don't worry! There will be more classes coming up in the future. If there are any particular classes that you'd be interested in seeing, leave a comment and let me know!
