I’ve Been Grateful and Easy (& Big News!)

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

I discovered this little gem of a quote from Deb Caletti‘s young adult novel Honey, Baby, Sweetheart; there really isn’t a better quote to describe my summer thus far. It’s been a bit since I’ve posted, and I missed you all my absence. I really did. But the break was marvelous. It coincided with the first month of summer, a time that is unlike any other in this world.

I’ve relaxed with my family in Mexico, I’ve spent time with Jason and Ava, I’ve had moments for the nitty gritty of cleaning and organizing that doesn’t seem to happen during the school year. I’ve read. I’ve watched movies. We even began P90x, a workout that is quickly and surely beating my butt.

I’ve also developed a new concept for this little blog. I’m super excited about it. I’m going to let this video do the talking:

Video #2 debuts tomorrow, my friends!

  1. HA! i’m dying over the bloopers hahahaha! you are too cute and i kind of miss you a lot 🙂 i’m so excited for the video series! nate keeps trying to get me to do video but i feel super awkward. you look great and it sounds so fun!

    1. Thanks, Heather! I miss you a lot too. July is super crazy for us, but we should plan a date for August! I would love to come see you and meet little Wes!

  2. Nice work. You need a new camera man. Or a tripod. I could help you out with the second one. And on a serious note, if you wanted a kick butt intro like chalk on a blackboard type of thing let me know. I could help you out. Since we are friends.

  3. I thought that your first video was great , Kellie. How often will you do the video? Daily vs. a blog? There are a lot of national food days, weeks, and months that you could use during specific times. National Nutrition Month is in March as recognized by the Academy of nutrition and Dietetics. If you ever need feedback from a nutrition expert, I would make sure that you look for one who is a Registered Dietitian vs. a ND (naturopathic dietitian) or a nutritionist. RD’s have at least 4-years in college earning a BS in Food Science and Nutrition followed by another year interning at a major teaching hospital in the country, and then qualify to take a 4-hr national exam to become an RD. Then we are required to do 75 continuing education credits every 5 years as one thing we need to do to maintain our credentials. If you ever need me for a resource, for an interview, or to help write any nutrition articles, I’d be glad to see how I can help. Anyway, these will be on uTube? Is there just one that introduces you and some of your background… the idea developed, when, the benefits of following you vs. all the other foodies out there, a place for feedback from your peeps so that you can constantly strive to meet their needs. Anyway, let me know what you think! ❤ Ann

    1. Ann, you are so sweet. I love the idea of tapping into food days, weeks, etc. for the videos. I will do a little digging! The videos will be weekly; I’ll post one each Monday and then will continue with two other written posts each week. Thank you for all the ideas and for the great info. about nutrition…I will definitely keep you in mind! xo, Kellie
