Finally settled in the new house and ready with a new weekly menu! It’s a tasty one this week! 🙂

Week 23 Menu

23.1  Spaghetti and Meatballs

23.2 Cheese Enchiladas with Beans

*All recipes feed four.

 

Grocery List

Estimated Cost:  $60

 

Produce

  • 1 bunch cilantro
  • 1 bunch green onions
  • 1 red onion
  • 1 head garlic
  • 1 head lettuce

Meat

  • 1 lb. ground beef or turkey (we prefer turkey for these!)
  • 6 lb. pork shoulder roast

Pantry

  • 1 lb. whole wheat spaghetti
  • 1 large can crushed tomatoes
  • 1 small can diced tomatoes
  • 16 oz. jar/can enchilada sauce
  • 1 can pinto beans
  • 1 can black beans
  • 1 package corn tortillas
  • 1 jar sliced dill pickles
  • 1 tbs. ground white pepper (get this from the bulk spices section!!)
  • optional: BBQ sauce (but not at all necessary!)
  • 1 bag potato chips

Dairy

  • 1 cup reduced-fat sour cream
  • 3 oz. cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg

Bakery

  • 1 loaf French bread (for breadcrumbs)
  • 4 ciabatta rolls or hamburger buns

Frozen

  • 2 packages frozen tortellini

On-hand Items

As always, there are several items that you will need and are not on this week’s grocery list because you should have enough remaining from when they were on the grocery list in previous weeks.

Be sure you have the following on hand:

  • salt
  • pepper
  • olive oil
  • canola oil
  • dried basil, oregano
  • garlic powder
  • crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1 tbs. Dijon mustard
  • 2 tbs. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 ½ tsp. cayenne pepper
  • 2 tbs. cumin
  • 4 tbs. paprika
  • 2 tbs. brown sugar
  • 1 tbs. white sugar
