It is good to be home! We were in San Diego this weekend to celebrate my grandpa’s 90th birthday; we had such an amazing time with all our family. 90 is a lotta years…and my grandpa wears them well. I’ll do a big post tomorrow morning with all the details and photos from our trip, but until then, a quick ocean shot.
It was seriously an awesome trip, but I’m also glad to be back home. Now if only I didn’t have to go to work today! Today is Jason’s day off, so he’ll be tackling our post-vacation mess (aka luggage and piles of laundry) that is currently taking up our main hall.
In other news, voting begins today on Project Food Blog’s Challenge #2! An enormous THANK YOU to everyone who voted for me (and spread the word to their friends!) in Challenge #1. I found out that I made it through while we were driving in the car with my sister and brother-in-law. We were on our way to the beach and I couldn’t have been more excited. I’ve got my fingers crossed for Challenge #2…I’m pleased with the meal I cooked and I think you will really enjoy it too! You can check out my entry here and you can vote for me here. The most difficult thing about the challenge was keeping my post under 1000 words! I think writing an intro. and giving 4 recipes might have been a bit overambitious….
I’m off to work! Have a lovely Monday, everyone.
