There are certain items that I always keep on hand, as well as certain items that I assume that everyone has in their kitchen pantry. These are items that I won’t always post on the weekly grocery list, as people usually just buy more as soon as they run out. If there is a specialty pantry item (for instance, rice vinegar or grape seed oil) I will be sure to add it to the week’s grocery list (and include it in the estimated cost) so that you are prepared!
I like to keep my pantry (and by pantry I mean the one cabinet that we have to keep food in, as well as the space above the cabinets, and the top of the refrigerator…) stocked with the basics that I consistently use. Having these items on hand means that I can usually just purchase a couple of fresh “extra” ingredients and have a meal ready to go in minutes!

I always have arborio rice, various pastas, different styles of canned tomatos, chicken broth and wine (for cooking and drinking). Oh and I love lots of different hot sauces too, like Tabasco, Cholula and Siracha.
