The Perfect Cucumber Martini

August 4, 2011 in Cocktails, The Daily Blog

Ingredients:

6 shots high-quality vodka, such as Tito’s Vodka

1/2 oz. dry vermouth

1/4 cucumber, sliced thinly

1/4 cucumber, peeled and sliced into strips

ice

Directions:

Fill 2 martini glasses with ice, then fill with cold water. Set aside to chill.

Fill a cocktail shaker 1/2 full with ice, then add sliced cucumber. Pour vodka over the cucumber.

Dump martini glasses, then pour very small amount of vermouth into each martini glass. You want just a splash in each glass. Swirl to coat glass.

Place lid on cocktail shaker and shake approximately 10 times.

Strain between the two martini glasses. Garnish with cucumber spears.

Drop spears into the martini to add more cucumber flavor.

Enjoy, preferably on a front porch. A back porch would work well, too.
