Grocery List

Estimated Cost:  $60

 

Produce

  • 3 yellow onions
  • 2 heads lettuce
  • 3 tomatoes
  • 2 red bell peppers
  • 2 zucchinis
  • small piece ginger root
  • 1 avocado
  • 1 lime
  • 1 bunch broccoli
  • 1 head garlic
  • 1 large bunch green onions
  • 1 bunch cilantro

Meat

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 lb. boneless, skinless, chicken breast tenders
  • ½ lb. meat (steak, chicken, or ground beef)

Pantry

  • 1 bag baked potato chips
  • brown rice
  • corn tortillas
  • 2 cups bran cereal (from bulk section)
  • ½ cup almonds

Dairy

  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 5 eggs
  • 3 oz. sharp cheddar

Bakery

  • 4 hamburger buns

On-hand Items

As always, there are several items that you will need and are not on this week’s grocery list because you should have enough remaining from when they were on the grocery list in previous weeks.

Be sure you have the following on hand:

  • salt
  • pepper
  • olive oil
  • grapeseed oil
  • canola oil spray
  • reduced-sodium soy sauce
  • mayonnaise
  • Emeril’s seasoning
  • Cayenne pepper
  • ½ cup + 2 tbs. all-purpose flour
  • honey
  • Dijon mustard
  • Basalmic vinegar
  • Red pepper flakes
